Abstracts

Abstracts may be submitted on any topic relevant to engineering in medicine and biology. The anticipated topical themes of the meeting are shown below. The abstract deadline of 19 November 2004 is earlier than in past years.

Presentations are made orally or by poster. Students are invited to submit their posters to the student poster competition. Each presenting author is expected to register to attend the conference.

Please complete a separate abstract submission form (PDF, Word, SXW) for each submission. The abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts, which will be distributed to attendees at the meeting. Guidance for the preparation of abstracts is available (PDF, RTF). A few word processor templates for the abstract format are available (Word, STW).

The standard audio-visual equipment for oral presentations will be an LCD computer projector and a mechanical pointer. If you have additional A/V needs, please indicate these on the abstract submission form. Last minute requests will be difficult or impossible to accomodate and may incur an expense that must be borne by the author.
